Welcome to AMRTAVA

India generates approximately 170,000 tonnes per day (TPD) of municipal solid waste (MSW), equating to over 62 million tonnes annually, driven by rapid urbanization and population growth. Of the total waste generated, around 156,000 TPD is collected, but only about 54 % of that is treated scientifically, with roughly 24 % sent to landfills and the remainder unaccounted for due to systemic gaps in segregation and processing infrastructure. This limited scientific processing of MSW — especially its biodegradable organic fraction — contributes to landfill dependency and environmental stress, including methane emissions and land contamination

AMRTAVA is Designed

To address this critical infrastructure gap through a measured, data-driven transformation framework, beginning with biochemical stabilization of organic waste streams and progressing toward advanced thermochemical conversion technologies — aligning with national priorities for scientific waste management and sustainable resource recovery.
